This is the age of rapidly developing technologies, which are changing the whole process of teaching and learning.
But even in this age, Urdu medium students appearing for Scholarship exams have to depend on the age old printed paper books for preparing for this highly competitive exam, taken by thousands of students across the State.
The monotony of going through reams of paper renders most students disinterested and often disillusioned.
To overcome this difficulty a Kokani youngster – Raavi A. Munaf Bhatkar, has come-up with an alternative - an innovative and interactive CD - containing preparatory course material for the Scholarship Exams.
The CD named ‘Raavi Software – Scholarship Exams’ contains multiple choice questions based on the Scholarship exam pattern.
Similar to a computer game, the CD generates interest in the students by providing multiple answers to choose from. This makes students to think hard and answer every question carefully. Every correct answer is given marks, which is tallied up in the end to produce the final result.
This is a first-of-its-kind initiative and it is more heartening, as it has come from a young Kokani from Dapoli.
Raavi is the son of National High School, teachers, Mr. Abdul Munaf & Mrs. Sajida Bhatkar.
His achievement is even more prominent as he is himself a student, studying in 12th standard (H.S.C.) Science stream of Saroj College, Aurangabad.
While he is being praised by all sections of the education fraternity, even the State Education Department has taken note of this youngster’s efforts
Encouraged by the response to his CD, Raavi has now decided to concentrate his efforts on producing a similar CD for students from the Marathi Medium.
